Key Landmarks of Arundel
Apart from seeing the Castle, there are many things to do. Here are just a few suggestions:
First of all, visit the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, a short walk from the town centre. This wildlife-rich habitat comprises 65 acres of wetlands bordering the River Arun and hosts regular tours and events for adults and children.
Also, a farmers’ market is usually held on the third Saturday of every month. So you can find local produce and other goods here. In addition, there’s a popular annual arts festival. This is on if you are visiting during August.
And, of course, there are a number of local activities you can enjoy year-round, such as cruising up the River Arun to the Black Rabbit pub, boating on Swanbourne Lake, fishing, playing golf, horse-riding or simply walking the lovely South Downs nearby.
