20mph Traffic Zones
As the result of an initiative from the Arundel Town Council Traffic Committee, West Sussex County Council proposes to make a permanent Traffic Regulation Order that will introduce 20 mph speed limits throughout the town centre and all residential roads.
The Order also introduces 30mph speed limits on Mill Road, from a point 115m north-east of High Street, north eastwards to a point immediately east of Swanbourne Lodge, and on The Causeway from its junction with the A27 northwards to a point 30m south of Queen Street.
Below is a link to the TRO Team’s consultation web page, containing plans showing the new speed limit, the public notice, statement of reasons for proposing the Order, and the draft Order itself. A copy of the draft TRO and a list of all of the roads affected by the Order is on Arundel Town Council’s website, here.
The Town Council is encouraging any interested Arundel residents or businesses to express their views either in support or to object, before 1 February 2018 when the consultation period ends.

Arundel by Candelight Survey
In 2017 it took place on Saturday 2 December.
The Arundel Chamber of Commerce and Arundel Town Council would like your feedback on the event and how you think it should develop in the coming years, if at all.
An online survey has been produced that only takes a couple of minutes to complete and gives you the chance to comment, make suggestions and offer to volunteer for this annual extravaganza.
