District Council elections are due to be held in May 2019. This will include Arun District Council – a council that influences the quality of the lives of all who live in this part of West Sussex.
Becoming a councillor provides an opportunity for anyone who is public spirited and concerned about local issues to really make a difference. And the effectiveness of local councils depends on the quality, drive and enthusiasm of its councillors.
Being a councillor is voluntary and part time, thus enabling anyone currently in employment to participate. An effective council greatly benefits if its councillors have an extensive spectrum of experiences and are drawn from a wide range of age and gender.
The Conservative Party is currently seeking suitable candidates from all sectors of the community to stand in the 2019 election. Anyone interested in being considered should contact the local agent by 10th February 2018 on: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01903 816880.
