Horsham and Crawley-based parents’ club Busylizzy is hosting two free Buggy Fitness classes this month to raise money for Sport Relief.

The local club, which provides toddler- and baby-friendly fitness and activity classes, is hoping participants will cover 100km during the two classes, equivalent to 125,000 steps; with a buggy!

Taking place on March 20th in Horsham Park and March 23rd in Maidenbower Park, Crawley, the two Sport Relief classes are open to ANY parent with a child in a buggy, not just Busylizzy Horsham & Crawley members.

The classes will be led by a professional, postnatally qualified instructor and personal trainer who will intersperse running with circuit-based exercises to create a fun and achievable workout, regardless of fitness level.

‘Anyone is welcome to join in. You don’t have to be a member or super fit – just come dressed to exercise with your little one wrapped up warm in a buggy! We’d love to see as many parents there as possible.  It doesn’t matter if you’ve never done one of our fitness classes or don’t like running – let’s do it together and have some fun for a good cause!’ said  Busylizzy Horsham and Crawley club owner Jen Hibberd.

The challenge is part of a nationwide effort by Busylizzy; aiming to clock up a combined 500km with other Busylizzy clubs across the UK. Busylizzy Horsham & Crawley has its sights set on achieving 100km covered on foot and by buggy.

‘Busylizzy offers local mums 15 pre- and postnatal fitness classes every week. Allowing parents, particularly mums on maternity leave, the opportunity to work out in a safe and secure environment even if they don’t have childcare to hand is really important to us, so it made a lot of sense to us to open up our classes to members and non-members alike and take part in Sport Relief 2018,’ she continued.

To register attendance at either of the classes, please email jen@busylizzy.co.uk.  Donations to Sport Relief can be made via the joint Just Giving page: https://my.sportrelief.com/sponsor/busylizzy. Busylizzy Horsham and Crawley will also make a donation for every attendee at each class.

Busylizzy holds regular classes for parents and children across Horsham, Crawley and the surrounding villages 51 weeks a year. It offers both pre-and postnatal exercise classes, allowing mums to workout even if they don’t have childcare, as well as a range of baby and toddler activities including Baby Massage, Baby Signing, music, art and craft and more.
